Participation in MicrobeTech 2025
29 de May de 2025KEPLER Ingeniería y Ecogestión, S.L. is participating in MicrobeTech2025 in Slovenia, an international event where the latest developments in bioremediation technologies will be shared with leading experts from Europe. During 27-29 May 2025, our colleagues Cynthia Alcántara and Sara Ortega are attending the event organised by the BIOREM and BIOSYSMO projects at the Jožef Stefan Institute.

Cynthia Alcántara, Director of R&D&I at KEPLER, has attended, as a speaker, in two communications: ‘The potential of fungal application during the treatment of TPH and HTF-contaminated soils in biopiles as bioremediation strategy’ and ‘Microbial response during bioremediation processes: advanced techniques currently applied in large-scale projects for monitor biotic remediation’.

Our colleagues Cynthia Alcántara, Sara Ortega and Jimena Sainz have also presented several posters: ‘PFAS as ’eternal chemicals”: Current challenges, gaps in the regulatory framework and sustainable remediation techniques in environmental matrices‘, ’Biochemical remediation by in situ reduction of perchloroethylene contaminated soil and groundwater‘ and ’Effect of aerobic and anaerobic conditions during storage of wine lees and grape pomace used as substrates for biogas production”.

Thank you BIOREM and BIOSYSMO for the excellent organisation of the event!

KEPLER has participated in the 5th Conference on Soil Contamination organized by the Waste Agency of Catalonia on February 18–19, 2026. In this edition, which brought together more than 270 attendees, some of the topics covered included the application of sustainability in remediation techniques, the latest developments in bioremediation, and the current regulatory and technical […]
Collaboration with European Research Centres continues to promote soil bioremediation
We continue moving forward in the research of innovative soil remediation strategies. This time, within the BIOREM project, in collaboration with ICCRAM and Laboratory for Colloid Biology – Jozef Stefan Institute, focused on the treatment of recalcitrant contaminants. Secondments carried out so far have enabled valuable knowledge exchange, allowing us to share results, key learnings […]
