Participation in the 18th International Congress on Bioenergy

2 de October de 2025

KEPLER Ingeniería y Ecogestión, S.L. participates in this 18th International Bioenergy Congress with the presentation of our colleague Cynthia Alcántara, entitled ‘Influence of the storage conditions of grape lees and skins valorised as substrates in biogas plants’. The presentation highlighted Spain’s potential as a generator of waste from the wine industry, as it has the largest vineyard cultivation area in the world.

The results obtained in this study highlight the need to know the characteristics and potential degradation routes of each substrate in order to apply the most appropriate storage conditions. This study should be carried out from the most preliminary phases of the project in order to maximise the methanogenic potential of the waste, as well as to take these measures into account in the logistics associated with the subsequent O&M phase.
